This screen reviews common topics and requirements for licensing software that comes with maintenance and other complementary services. The Standards in this screen cover a wide variety of topics, and weights their importance based on the author's experience negotiating these types of agreements.

Andy Banquer

Andy is a hands-on architect and implementer of managed contract solutions. He leads a team that supports and continuously improves commercial contracting through efficient processes, right-sourcing, playbooks that enable humans and AI, and responsive customer service.

 

Prior to joining the new law industry, Andy spent over 20 years in-house with the original Hewlett-Packard Company and then with Agilent Technologies, providing responsive, pragmatic counseling to business clients and managing global teams.

 

His current focus areas include AI integration, deriving value from data, and developing team soft skills. Andy began his legal career at Thelen, Marrin, Johnson, and Bridges in San Francisco after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law.
